About this deal

Falling in love for the first time, especially when it's with the person who you know you'll want to be with forever, is always intense and for them, with their shared past, pain, and connection, the intensity of their emotional connection ran deep and they not only were falling for each other, but shared a deep bond of understanding. Years of homeschooling had helped her heal and given her the strength to decide to attend her senior year in a public school. Despite her conviction, this was no easy feat for her as even something as simple as talking publicly gave her extreme anxiety. But the last thing she expected on her first day was to see Rider Stark. The boy who'd protected her, who she hadn't seen in four years, right there in her class.

And it is not just amateurs doing up their homes who can vote with their wallets. Owners of large buildings, such as hospitals, universities and commercial property developers, have a lot of focused buying power too, according to Hannah Ray, of the Green Science Policy Institute. She wants PFAS chemicals limited to essential use only, where no feasible alternative is available. There has been some progress, she says: “Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden have submitted their intention to restrict PFAS as a class and the US state of Maine will ban most uses of PFAS from 2030.” Yikes, cliche alert! This book reminds me of Until Friday Night, which is one of the top disappointing books of mine this year, because of the similar plots. (Quiet girl with broken guy, blah blah blah...) They weren’t powerful enough, because how could they be when Carl and Rosa had saved my life? Literally and figuratively. When it came to them, I’d been at the right place at the right moment for all the wrong reasons in the universe. Our story was something straight out of an Oprah special or an ABC Family movie. Unreal. Saying thank you would never be enough after everything they had done for me.

The Problem with Forever Full Details

The intensity between Mouse and Rider is palpably sizzling… romance aficionados [will] lose themselves in Mouse and Rider’s smoldering glances and steamy kisses.” – As you might have noticed, I TOTALLY fell in love with this book. Totally. From the inside to the outside. I want to read it again and again. Inhale every thought, message, sentence, word of it. The Problem With Forever is not just a fun and sweet YA read. It’s deep and touching. It became one of my favorite books. The Problem With Forever Rating: 5/5 ★

I’d expected Rosa to be here this morning since today was such a big deal, something we’d been working toward for the last year. Breakfasts had always been our time. But Carl and Rosa were both doctors. She was a heart surgeon, and an unplanned surgery had called her in before I’d even pulled myself out of bed. Kind of had to give her a pass for that. forever was my heartbeat and it was the hope tomorrow held. forever was knowing moments of weakness didnt equate to an eternity of them. forever was knowing that i was strong.’

The story is written from the point of view of Mallory, a 17 year old girl who lives in a foster family after suffering from childhood neglect and abuse and their long-term effects. It’s hard for her to speak to people, make friends, rise her voice. She doesn’t talk a lot with others at the beginning of the book but I loved her inner monologues. You can see how smart, kind, sweet, talented, lovely and normal she is. The quality she wants to have so badly. That’s also the reason why she decides to spend her senior year in a public high school after four years of homeschooling. I mean, isn’t that an act of strength? Like I said before Mallory is afraid of speaking in front of people. I can understand her. Totally. It’s so hard for me too. She also said that she is afraid of everything and I can sign these words with my own signature. In The Problem with Forever, Mallory (“Mouse”) and Rider (…of course his name is Rider) spent several years together (maybe, like, from ages 4-13?) in the same unsafe foster home. The foster sibling thing wasn’t emphasized that much—helped in part because the house was so dysfunctional that they were nothing like a family—and instead their relationship was framed in terms of friendship.
