About this deal

The Asus is a mid-range machine, so there are no surprises here: it has a 14in IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/legion-5i-gen-7-(15-inch-intel)/82rb00gjau As such, the most impressive aspects are those you’ll notice on a day-to-day basis. Except for heavy gaming or video editing, performance is impressive across the board. The keyboard offers a good level of travel, feeling tactile and responsive, while the port selection should mean you can use it adapter-free. Afternoon people. Work have banned me playing FM23 on the company laptop so I'm on the hunt for a refurb. I thought it was worth separating these two aspects from the other design features, as they are crucial to the way I use a laptop.

The VivoBook’s benchmark results are on a par with the Intel-based Acer Swift 5, and its single-threaded result beats the Lenovo’s AMD chip – but the Yoga was significantly faster in PCMark 10 and Geekbench’s multi-core test, proving it’s better for demanding workloads. There’s not much real innovation here (unless you consider the fluorescent enter key to be!), with the VivoBook prioritising everyday usage. For a freebie, I'd probably be inclined to go for the Macbook Pro. My understanding is that the M1 Pro will handle 3D graphics at the higher presets, where as the ones with Iris XE graphics may need to turn it down a notch or two. The display itself is pretty decent, offering a solid level of detail and good contrast, although colours can look slightly muted when viewing multimedia content. As such, I wouldn’t recommend using it as your primary device for watching videos. The combination of a sleek aluminium exterior and a couple of surprisingly colourful touches make the VivoBook stand out in a market filled with laptops that all look a bit too similar. I'd go for this one: https://www.mediaworld.it/it/product/_hp-15s-fq5022nl-156-pollici-processore-intelr-coretm-i5-intel-iris-xe-16-gb-ssd-512-gb-182913.html ASUS Laptop Charger, HKY 19V 2.37A Power Adapter for ASUS VivoBook L410MA L403SA E406NA E510 E203MA X515JA X413JA X412F X553SA S513EA S435EA M413IA X442UA X453MA X420 UX461UA UX362F UK Plug Cable

best budget laptop chart at the time of writing, so it shows Asus still has work to do in that regard.
